is for those investing
in the
United Kingdom by setting up
or taking over, and being actively involved in
the
running of one or more businesses in
the
United
Kingdom.
To apply under
the points-based system
and be accepted into
the entrepreneur category,
you must pass a points-based assessment
You must score:

75 points
for your
attributes
which are different depending
on whether you make an initial or extension
application; and

10 points
for
English
language; and
-
10 points
for available
maintenance
(funds).

You must score
10 points
in English. You can obtain
the
10 points in one of
the following instances;
- Be a national of a majority English speaking country;
or
- Pass an English language
test (6.5/9 in
the
IELTS test)

- Hold a degree taught in English and is equivalent
to a United
Kingdom bachelor's degree or above.
Maintenance
Your must score
10 points
for maintenance. You can obtain
the 10 points
if you have £2,800 in your bank account
for at least
three months
before you apply.

What happens after
you get
the initial
immigration visa?
After you obtain
the visa you should start your own business or be part
of a running business in
the
UK. You should
invest £200,000 and be
involved in the day-to-day
operations of
the business. You should also employee
two
UK
residents. This should happen
during
the first
three years. After
three
years you will be eligible
to
extend you visa for another
2 years after which you will
obtain
the
indefinite leave
to stay in
the
UK. Following one year after obtaining
the indefinite
leave to stay
in the
UK
you will be eligible
to apply
for UK citizenship.
