Business Immigration

Business people who have a successful business career can now migrate to Australia. The application process passes by two stages. At the first stage the applicant is granted a four year provisional visa that allows the migrant to travel to Australia and establish his/ her business there. If the migrant was successful in establishing this business then they are granted a permanent residency visa and then they can apply for the Australian citizenship after 4 years of residence in Australia

First stage immigration visa

In general terms, if you intend to migrate to Australia under this category you should satisfy these two conditions:-

·         You have an overall successful business career

·         A genuine intention to engage in business activities in Australia

Other conditions include

After you obtain an immigration visa you will be allowed to come to Australia to establish your business. If you operate a business for a period of two years you will then be allowed to apply for the second stage visa. After which you will be granted citizenship after 4 years of living in Australia.

Second stage immigration visa

Business people who migrate to Australia to conduct their business activities will find continues support from the Australian government and its states and territories including post arrival assistance.

In order to meet the condition for the second stage visa you will need to prove that after arriving to Australia you satisfied the following;

1-           In your main business (or two main businesses) in Australia, you have had and continue to have an ownership interest and direct and continuous management for at least two years immediately before you apply.

2-           The net value of your (or your and your spouses combined) assets in the main business (or two main businesses) in Australia is at least A$100,000 throughout the 12 months immediately before you apply. (The amount becomes A$75,000 if sponsored by an Australian state)

3-           The net value of your (or you and your spouse's combined) personal and business assets in Australia has been at least A$250,000 throughout the 12 months immediately before you apply.

4-           Your main business (or two main businesses together), had a turnover of at least $300,000 in the 12 months immediately before you apply. (The amount becomes A$200,000 if sponsored by an Australian state)

5-           Throughout the 12 months immediately before you apply, your (or your and your spouses) business (or two main businesses) employed at least the equivalent of two full-time employees. (excluding relatives) (If sponsored by an Australian state you should only employ one)
